Love Rocks (literally!) I got a custom request by this sweet, sweet girl Crystal to create some mementos for her and her long distance beau modeled after my bracelet the vivienne. i think they turned out really well, whatcha think?

the madrid earrings. i have to admit, i love them. i wish they were on a different colored background. im not the biggest fan of the jade, but i still love them. and im currently in the process of getting more colors.

the monroe earrings. i have to admit, these were done while watching a texas tech game. so sue me! im allowed to be inspired by my alumn spirit! but arent they precious and girly?

the lolita. just try and tell me you dont love it? im not morbid and creepy, ok? i just like day of the dead. i mean its a wee bit macabre, but its fun. and feminine with the heart shape and the rhinestones. my favorite.

the juliet earrings. love, love, love, love, LOVE! i was watching gossip girl (i know!) and i was totally digging on vanessa's hippi vibe so i was super inspired to create something boho chic. its textured metal, and i think theyre super great.

in honor of breast cancer awareness month, i wanted to do a series of bracelets. so i chose one of the most popular themes. but i tried to jazz it up with some new bead choices and an antiqued banner for the word. i am really, really, really happy with the way these came out. im super proud of myself. so here they are...the hope, love, and faith bracelets.

the hope bracelet.

and here they all are....

goblins, ghosts, & ghouls, OH MY!

here are my top favorites on etsy for halloween today. im sure once i have more time to search, i will have even more super halloween wins for you! anyone else as pumped for halloween as i am? its always been my favorite. and i cant tell yet, but i think dave and i have come up with some pretty amazing costume ideas for this year....enjoy!

im hacked off its back-ordered. wild things wolf pajamas
by handpickednecklaces. i desperately wish i could be this!

my oh my....

so there has been a lot that has been going on since last time i posted...

ill just hit the highlights:

ashley and jefferson had their baby girl last monday. charlotte dawn cox and she is so precious, i cannot even begin to describe it! i just want to pinch her shes too cute. and on another plus side, dave and i took care of noah while they were at the hospital being induced and we spoiled him rotten. dave picked out some new shirts for him which was hilarious, because noah kept saying they were cute and dave kept trying to get him to handsome. guess you had to be there but it was adorable! and best of all, we got him a tball set. so he has it made. it was SO fun playing around on the tball set with him!

here she is miss charlotte! isnt she gorgeous? shes so pretty in pink. we totally bonded already. she loves me. im just sayin. hahaha, right.

and the extremely adorable noahbug. omg. hes my backyardigans dance partner! i love him. he was cracking us up all day long.

and this past weekend, daves older brother mike and his fiance jenn got married. rehearsal dinner friday went really well. dave cooked for everyone! and it was delicious! and then we went back to our house afterwards and had some drinks. if anyone actually reads this thing and remembers my post about dave and zeke getting moonshine a little while back. well, it was finally tested out. just the smell of it was awful.

georgia moon corn whiskey. shine on! under 30 days old.

look at what a wonderful photographer miss libby is! dave has refused to take a picture with me since ski trip! she caught us in a moment and look how cute we are! my squished nose and all. and were all cute and matching. its my new favorite.

and then saturday, the wedding. which of course dave and patrick (the youngest brother) were groomsmen and heres a little picture of them struttin' their stuff. handsome denton men, dontcha think? check out daves swagger. hahaha

and then off to the reception. which was ridiculous. in every sense of the word. but we danced our asses off, and i had fun i got to hang out with monique (cutiepie) and of course daves cousins libby and erin which freakin crack me up. but i have to admit a highlight was the denton men doing the "gator". i had heard about it. daves dad is a legendary for his gator dance but it was the first time in history all the denton boys were in on it. the picture doesnt do it justice, but you get the idea.....

so its been a pretty eventful two weeks. and thats just the two major highlights. but stay tuned, another post hopefully coming later this evening with my favorite new halloween etsy finds. youll love it. promise.

cold, rainy days...

since i havent updated in a while, i was planning on this mass blog, and then i decided i was bored with it. so, instead being inspired by the cold and rainy days as of late, here are a few of my most coveted rainy days item. i need them. enjoy...

cuddle up in a comfy chair like this one,
the lulu chair by urbanoutfitters. i loves it.

a warm, soft blanket is a must! like this cashmere
fringe throw from ralph lauren.

i want these adorable coffee cups by bread&badger so freakin bad. with my coffee addiction. and them being precious? i think i just may order them.

and get a gander at these kick ass, teensy espresso cups by acero studios. i think i just may need to order these to match the skull mugs. tres cute!

i bought this while i was in dallas. and so far, ive lived in it. its amazing...long, soft, and its gots a hood on it! toggle front sweater from old navy.

of course, somewhere for the pups to get warm and cozy. royal canopy dog bed by callingalldogs. over the top, i know. but my mom has one for her dogs like it. and its great.

and if you do decide to go outside and weather the storm.....

check out these houndstooth rain boots at target. for some reason houndstooth always reminds me of my aunt nancy. im going to go get them this weekend. :)

and i need this. i mean really. just look at it! is it NOT the cutest umbrella youve ever seen?! rose birdcage umbrella by lulu guiness. genius!

lovely.

just throwing this out there...i probably have the most kick ass brother. be jealous. im just sayin, hes pretty awesome.

this weekend in dallas was great. i got spoiled. won a party at charming charlies and walked out with some sweet purple ugg boots, and some sweet jewelry and shades....to match all eleven of my new shirts. and my sweet cardigan. and sweater hoodie. OH! and i scored some sweet wins at half price books. i got dave some rockin old school vinyl: eric clapton, jimi hendrix, led zepplin, and queen (which i have to admit, queen, is mostly for me) and sixty, yes, you read it correct, sixty new books. oh and i found dave a vintage looking pink floyd shirt at guess? old navy of all places! so he was excited! well, not about my 60 books. considering i already have hundreds. but, he loves all his gifts and my new clothes, so it was a super win all around.

but it was mostly awesome just because it was the first time since christmas i actually got to spend any real length of time with my brother. and he is a super genius. and im not saying that because im biased he really is. and its almost sickening. but hes awesome. we had fun. and drove the parental units crazy. which is always amusing.

as soon as i get back to odessa and dave picks me up from the airport we get home and dave has cleaned the ENTIRE house. every stitch of laundry washed and hung up. every surface area sparkling. it was amazing. hes such a gem. but of course, its spotless and then i bring home all these ridiculous goodies and tons of stuff extra. but we got it all squared away thankfully. but after i got home we went over to ash and jeffersons for their fantasy football draft. doc and kathleen got a bunch of wings from wingstop and we just hung around. it was awesome. except ash and i were munching on some toblerone chocolate that doc and kathleen brought them straight from france and i dropped them in the beans. and then had a crazy dream about how i became a millionaire when i created this new dessert. im so weird.

random rant: did everyone hear the new state fair fried dessert this year is....fried butter?! what?! who seriously wants to eat fried butter? just the thought makes me want to yarf.

anywho. then yesterday, since dave worked monday he had last night off and we had a nice little date dinner. it was scrumptious then we headed over to (where else?) jefferson and ashleys. and hung around with them watching man vs wild in west texas! it was CRAZY. and then the colony. which i had never seen before. it was...interesting to say the least...but it was awesome.

which brings me to my awesome new favorites list: art prints.

ive had this weird obsession lately with art prints. well, for a while. i just wish i had more wall space. here are a few of my favorites....

Perching Ravens by youareconstance.
i really love the colors and the placement.
i think its eerily elegant. ya, i said it.

anything by hammerpress is a total win in my book.
im also partial to the one they did for spoon.
actually, im partial to most everything of theirs.
ive been a fan for the last 3 years. check em out.

Owl on Red Branch
by badbird.
i am totally digging on the simplicity and
random pops of color. i seriously love it.

secret handshake by Jennifer Davis.
shes my new favorite. i have been coveting her for a while.
all of her work is so interesting and intricate. amazing.
i have a girl crush on her.

Recruiting A New Alice in Wonderland by tartx.
my new favorite. dave and i actually just bought this!
dont judge. you know you love it. and now we own it :)

for the ladies...

first off...it turned out to be a kick ass weekend. new tattoo friday night with zeke. on the ribs again, but on the right side this time. painful, yet worth it. then dave got home and we went and hung out with jefferson and ashley. the boys jammed up in the studio and ashley dawn and i chilled out on the couch.

saturday, i literally did nothing all day long. well, i mean i sketched up ideas, made a few greeting cards, and read a book. it was really cute. i liked it. it was a quick, easy read by sophie kinsella called Twenties Girl. and then when dave got off work we went (of course) over to the cox household and hung out with jefferson, ashley, monique, and dustin. always a win.

sunday, the boys decided to play golf so me and ashley and noahbug cruised target. (ashley got me THE cutest most ridiculous and adorable shoes ever! actually, im kind of in love with her because of it!) and im pretty peeved because there was this awesome ivory knit tunic that was gathered and has a little bow...and i wanted it so bad! i totally would have rocked it with leggings and boots BUT! alas, they only had it in the baby section. so, now, charlotte gets to be adorable in the tunic and leggings! which, of course, she will totally rock. and then we went over to jorges and split some nachos and got sopapillas. YUM! holy jeebus. they were the best id ever had. scrumptious! and then we cruised around town and then headed back to their house. where the boys brought us starbucks and we watched true blood.

check out my sweet new kicks. dont judge. i adore them!

OH! OH MY! do NOT do it! do NOT go see district 9. im serious. you will thank me! do NOT do that to yourself! dave and i both hated it! dont pay to go see it, dont rent it, dont tivo it, dont steal it. we went and saw it yesterday. i was hacked off. i told him we should go see inglorious basterds but NO! we go see THAT instead. awful, awful, awful. blech.

on to a lighter note....

ladies...if you have not heard of e.l.f. cosmetics. you should acquaint yourself with that name immediately. no, im serious. do it. its called eyeslipsface cosmetics. and let me go ahead and tell you right now, you will, if you havent already seen the brand in magazines -- US Weekly, Glamour, Cosmo. so im telling you right now. go to eyeslipsface.com right now! (well, preferably after you finish reading my blog. kthanks.) but it is makeup (duh!) and it is surprisingly amazing.

its starting to get more famous because its not tested on animals, its in cahoots with various charities, and get this....its only...are you ready? a dollar! yup. you read correct. im in love. i just placed my fifth order with them today. well, let me correct myself, the "studio" looks and minerals are like 2-5 bucks. but i have...well at least one of everything. eye shadows, mascara, liquid eye liner, eye liner, blush, cream blush, foundation, powder, bronzer, lip gloss, nail polish. you name it, ive tried it. today...i bought 16 things for...$17.98. yup. awesome huh? ive been using elf for like...4-5 months. and i love it all. the ONLY thing i admit i still get big label is my mascara. only cause im a freak about my eyelashes. but its great. plus, they always have promos. either free shipping, or 10-20% off, or something free with purchase. i even turned half the people i work with over to it. and they all like it too. i know some people are picky and like their brands, im not gonna judge. im just sayin, for those of you that want to experiment with colors and all that jazz, you should check it out.
